Great food tour!

We did the Athens Greek food tour with Fortis on 30/09/24 and we had an incredible time. Fortis was knowledgeable, engaging and really good fun. We learnt lots about Greek food/culture and he gave us some wonderful tips for the rest of our trip. Thanks so much!

Brilliant guide - brilliant tour

We went on a Sunday afternoon tour with Giota - it was fantastic. She is a lively and hugely engaging guide with a great knowledge of Greek food, but was also full of information about modern Greek culture and the way in which food reflects the society it comes from. Goes without saying: the food was amazing and I was amazed by how palatable raki and ouzo both were!

Jenny was an amazing tour guide she was so sweet and made sure everyone was included and accommodated however she could. She was super knowledgeable and an absolute delight it was a great way to see different neighborhoods and taste different bites throughout. Highly recommend. She also gave us a recommendation after for cocktails at the most fantastic place.

Amazing

Our evening food tour was absolutely amazing!! Fotis was knowledgeable, personable, and his enthusiasm was contagious. It was a fantastic experience sampling foods we may not have known about otherwise. We even went back to the "dinner" restaurant the next night and filled our bellies with even more food! Will definitely recommend to friends heading to Athens!

Fantastic experience

Yiota was fantastic. Not only did she introduce us to typical Athens favorites, but she was extremely knowledgeable about all things Greek. I would highly recommend this tour. One tip: take the tour early in your vacation, because she will show all the places you should visit while you are in Athens.

We are Food Tour addicts! Giota was our excellent guide and host. The food was superb but Giota made it an experience of culture, and food for thought! She is an enthusiastic and prideful Greek who’s energy and passion for her work was contagious and enjoyable. To break bread in a new world that you would normally not see, taste foods that are contextualized, and do that while laughing and learning—that’s a food tour!!

My husband and I visited Athens this spring and we had a food tour with Fotis. He is a wonderful tour guide! The food tour was our favorite activity in Athens because Fotis offered us a rich variety of different Greek dishes. From appetizers, to greek main dishes to desserts. You will leave very full and with rich knowledge on the food and culture of Greece. 100% recommend!

Small group evening food walk This is the must-do tour in Greece. we were absolutely wow’d with our guide, Fotis. We had so much fun. We are great food. Tasted dishes we never heard of. Had drinks that were amazing. I'm stuffed! I cannot say enough. What a great time.

Fantastic Experience!

We had a wonderful time on our evening food tour with our guides Marina and Antonia. We learned so much about the food and culture of Athens, and we felt like we got a real feel for this amazing city. Both ladies shared fun personal stories and made us feel so comfortable in their town. And, of course, the food was delicious! This tour is highly recommended!

This is a hidden gem!

This is a fantastic tour and a must if you are in Greece. We learned how to appreciate olive oil and how to discern differences between various samples. We ate and experienced a wide range of foods that are part of Greek culture and every thing was delicious! Marina was a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide. She was very kind and professional. My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

We had a great food tour with Fotis last night. He is remarkably knowledgeable and passionate about Greek cuisine. We were immersed in olive oil, souvlaki types, a large variety of traditional dishes, and topped it off with delicious desserts. Throw in a couple shots of special Greek liqueurs and you have a well-rounded, complete food experience. It was a great way to start our trip and we highly recommend this.

Make sure you’re hungry

This is a must. We do a lot of tours when we travel and this is one of the best we’ve ever been on. Fotis was our charming and knowledgeable tour guide and we just adored him. Great welcoming personality and took amazing care of us. We were stuffed when we were done. Loved that this not only involved food but the different neighborhoods that make up this amazing city. Learned a lot of history and met some great people. Make sure you do this!
